Unusual Vegetable (2005-02-16)
Tasai, a vegetable with dark green leaves, has a very strange shape. Its leaves don't grow upwards like normal plants, they fan out sideways which makes the vegetable look like a giant green sunflower. The one I bought measured 42cm (almost 1.5 ft) in diameter. Regardless of its unusual shape, the vegetable makes a pretty tasty dish stir-fried with garlic.
